Architect - Apply

AFL is searching for a talented architect/project architect to join the London team. We want to take on high calibre talent who will benefit from working right across our sectors with the support of experienced, talented and specialised colleagues.

You will have the opportunity to work on a range of medium to large-scale projects within a highly collaborative and inclusive team of sports, leisure, and residential experts. We value a creative flair, an autonomous approach and an eye for detail.

AFL is a medium sized, multi-sector practice with massive ambitions. The right person will be able to make an impact within the studio, both on project work and within the practice itself, closely working with senior leaders to challenge assumptions, discover new ways of working, and achieve excellent design through innovative problem solving and value-added inputs.

Requirements

  • RIBA Part 3 qualified and ARB registered
  • Experience working at detail design stages – ideally RIBA stages 3,4 & 5
  • Experience of working on larger projects as part of a team and day to day leadership for smaller projects
  • A working knowledge of Revit and BIM experience
  • Knowledge of UK planning policies and building regulations
  • Strong knowledge sustainable design, design standards and best practice
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Sketchup and other drafting tools
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with a problem-solving attitude
  • Strong organisational, process and time-management abilities
