AFL Architects served as Delivery Architects on the project, working closely with Westmorland Limited to turn an ambitious vision into a nationally recognised success. From early design development through to completion, AFL helped deliver a service station that challenges expectations and sets a new standard for roadside infrastructure.
Set between junctions 11a and 12 of the M5, Gloucester Services is far from the typical motorway stop. Built from local stone and timber, with green roofs seeded with wildflowers, the buildings are designed to blend into the surrounding countryside rather than dominate it.
