Delivered in just one year and completed in June 2024 with no disruption to hospital operations, the Wellbeing Garden transforms a previously vacant brownfield site into a space that supports staff, patients and biodiversity.
Created in collaboration with Milieu Landscape Design, the garden offers a variety of carefully designed zones to nurture all aspects of wellbeing:
Physical wellbeing – safe routes and activity areas for yoga, walking, or running.
Mental wellbeing – private spaces for reflection, counselling, or meditation.
Social wellbeing – zones for group activities such as yoga or guided meditation.
Emotional and financial wellbeing – areas used for Employee Assistance Programme sessions and counselling with trained professionals.
