The new Rainbow Child Development Centre, operated by the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, underwent a necessary relocation to a more suitable community location in Elland.

The chosen building Clock House, a former mill and office building, underwent a remarkable transformation led by AFL Architects.

Our architectural and interior design team provided inventive design concepts and the latest technological advancements, resulting in purpose-built facilities that offer a professional and comfortable working environment for staff while providing families with a truly exceptional clinical and enjoyable experience.

Rainbow Hub 4577

A central hub that warmly welcomes all families across Calderdale and Huddersfield communities.

By closely collaborating with the CHFT estate team and other stakeholders, we successfully transformed the Clock House into a comprehensive "one-stop shop".

The facilities include a range of colourful clinics and treatment rooms, a playful sensory room, and a spacious Changing Place and external play area designed to cater to the diverse needs of all individuals.

"It’s a truly amazing healthcare facility for our younger patients and their families and we are very proud of it. Fantastic."
Director of Transformation and deputy CEO, Anna Basford
