The striking framework now stands beside the already constructed indoor training dome, both of which dominate the 57-acre site previously occupied by the Canford Magna golf course

In the long term, the Canford facility will encompass a diverse array of amenities, comprising cutting-edge medical, fitness, sports science, and rehabilitation facilities, alongside dedicated administrative areas.

The upcoming phase of construction will now shift its focus towards the exterior facade.

Upon its full completion, the development will facilitate the consolidation of AFC Bournemouth's men's first team, development squad, academy, and women's setup all under one roof.

"

You can go now and see there is a building, it looks like it is going to be probably finished at the end of the year and we can move there and we can start working for sure in even better conditions.

Andoni Iraola, Head Coach at AFC Bournemouth

The indoor dome was finished in January, providing the team with the opportunity to train indoors on a full-size pitch.

Most recently, an outdoor 4G pitch was inaugurated, and construction has commenced on three full-size grass pitches.

Upon project completion, there will be a comprehensive infrastructure featuring nine full-size grass pitches, three dedicated to junior age groups, three additional pitches for goalkeeping training, and two padel tennis courts.
